One of the best “pros” of granite or marble is the natural look. It varies across the stone and has the spontaneous quality of a rock formed over thousands of years. However, sometimes, our clients are going for a different look. Whether it’s a contemporary space or a fun entertainment area or just a kitchen look with a kick, sometimes you need something fun, fresh, and sleek. That’s where solid quartz materials can really work well.
“Quartz” is also called “engineered stone,” and it is just that- a man made product created from recycled granite and other natural minerals. It is incredibly hard, scratch resistant, burn resistant, and doesn’t need to be sealed. It’s really not much different from granite in terms of maintenance and practical considerations, but it has the added bonus of coming in some really fun colors that you don’t normally see in a granite quarry.
Here are a few sleek, modern slabs of quartz for the project that needs something a little different. We work with over four different suppliers of unique quartz colors, so if you can’t find one you like, give us a call, and we’ll get to work finding your dream countertop.
